Downloading and viewing .pdf files

There are some Rexel documents contained in this website that are in the downloadable PDF (Portable Document Exchange) format. To view this you will need Adobe® Acrobat® Reader. Acrobat® Reader is free software that allows you to view, navigate, and print PDF files. If you would like to download Acrobat® Reader, click the adobe icon on your right. This link will take you to the Adobe Site. Follow the instructions given. We recommend that you download the latest version of Acrobat® Reader to enhance you viewing.

When you have Adobe® Acrobat® Reader installed on your machine you are ready to download the PDF file.

Using Internet Explorer 3.02 and later

When you click on the hyperlink to download the PDF file, it may automatically open Adobe® Acrobat® Reader within a new browser window. If this happens and you would like to save the PDF file choose 'Save As…' from the file menu.

Using Netscape

Netscape Communicator 4.04 will open the PDF file within your browser. If you would like to save the PDF file choose 'Save As…' from the file menu. Alternatively, close the new window and right click on the hyperlink.
If you are using Netscape Navigator 3.0 or earlier it will not automatically open within your browser window and you will be prompted to save it onto your hard drive.

Optimal Viewing Experience

This site is best viewed with Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer version 4.0 or above. Earlier browser versions may encounter difficulties displaying or using some of the more advanced services offered on this site, or accessing the secure sections of the site.

If you are unsure which version you are using:

  • Click on the Help pull-down menu within the main Web browser window.
  • Select About Internet Explorer or About Communicator (depending on which Web browser you are using).
  • A dialogue box will appear containing version details.
